1. Glass output

In the first half of 2021, domestic major glass fiber downstream applications have strong demand, and foreign markets are gradually improving; driven by the electronic and electrical market, the demand for electronic fabrics has increased significantly and prices have risen sharply. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's insulating glass output was 70 million square meters in the first half of 2021, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%; tempered glass output was 290 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 24.4%; laminated glass output was 61.631 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%.

Data from the "Survey on China's Glass Industry Development Status and Market Scale Forecast Report 2021-2027" released by Zhiyan Consulting shows that flat glass is also called white sheet glass or clear sheet glass. Its chemical composition generally belongs to soda-lime silicate glass. In the first half of 2021, China's flat glass output was 50.8408 million weight boxes, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year.

Flat glass has good perspective, good light transmittance, and high transmittance to near-red heat rays in the sun, but it effectively blocks the far-infrared long-wave heat rays reflected by the indoor walls, floors, furniture, and fabrics for visible light. . In the first half of 2021, the region with the highest output of flat glass in China is East China, accounting for 26.3%; Shandong region accounts for 8.43%.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of 2021, the area with the highest output of flat glass in China was 71,359,800 weight boxes in Hebei; followed by the Guangdong area with 53.345 million weight boxes of flat glass.

2. Import and export quantity

Insulating glass is a new type of building material that has good heat insulation, sound insulation, beauty and application, and can reduce the weight of the building. In the first half of 2021, China imported 269.5 tons of hollow or vacuum insulation and sound insulation glass; exports of hollow or vacuum insulation and sound insulation glass were 5,3824.6 tons.

According to China Customs data, in the first half of 2021, China's imports of insulating or vacuum insulation and sound insulation glass amounted to US$1.932 million; the amount of exports of hollow or vacuum insulation and sound insulation glass was US$109.744 million.

According to Chinese customs data, the export value of China's tempered glass in the first half of 2021 was US$1.5691 million; the import value of tempered glass was US$76.364 million.
